Defining Spaces

I have come into a group that has never had a BA role, and have been told "figure out your job and the tools you need". GASP! This can be quite the daunting mandate to come to grips with.

Some things to figure out include:

1. What does the Development Team use for products and methodology and how do they manage their requirements. What material do they need from you (and presumably your BA group). Ho do you align the requirements up with their needs, and manage this.
2. What are the standards of the corporation (or are there any). If there are standards, are there any tools that are used, or suggestions of tools that should be used. Consistency is important so if the company has templates then these should be used, or developed.
